The First Assay Monday Drill Digest TSX · TSX-V · CSE · NYSE-A · Nasdaq · October 26, 2026 | 11 companies 52 qualifying holes 3 jurisdictions |
A busy Monday after a quiet weekend: eleven companies produced 52 qualifying holes across Canada, Mexico and the US, and gold bulk tonnage did most of the talking, led by Thunder Gold's Tower Mountain results, Rocky Shore's Mosquito/MTH zones and Onyx Gold's 166 m at Argus Main. The two biggest GT/MCap ratios on the sheet are not like-for-like: Inomin's 402 m at 0.20% Ni is low-grade silicate-and-sulphide nickel on a C$5.6M cap, and Avino's Ag-dominant La Preciosa holes are cross-metal bonanzas. Fury's 4.5 m at 14.95 g/t at Eau Claire and Li-FT's first lithium results (56 m at 1.43% Li₂O) round out the higher-grade end.

Thunder Gold's TM26-223 returned 290.1 m at 0.527 g/t Au starting at just 3.9 m depth, including 57 m at 1.07 g/t from 10.5 m — a near-surface, bulk-tonnage intercept of the open-pit type. It is an exploration hole testing the south-eastern limit of the Tower Mountain trend, so it adds scale and upside rather than grade: GT of 152.9 g/t·m is the largest on the day outside the Ag-dominant names, and 3.23× GT/MCap on an approximate C$47M market cap. True width is disclosed at 159.7 m, about 55% of the drilled length, and the hole ranks #69 of 1,136 Au results in the last 30 days by AuEq·m. The caveat is grade: at roughly 0.5 g/t this is a large-tonnage story, consistent with the project's 0.45–0.46 g/t resource, so economics depend on scale and strip ratio. Watch the remaining infill assays and whether the north-eastern contact holes extend the trend. Canada is a stable jurisdiction.
GT/MCap Spotlight — Top 5
Metals are on different price bases and not directly comparable. Inomin (Ni, hole ID undisclosed, C$5.6M cap) and Avino (Ag-dominant) lead the ratio but are not like-for-like with the Au names; the best clean Au ratio is Thunder Gold TM26-223.

Azimut Exploration (AZM · TSX-V · C$49M) — Wabamisk, Quebec. Best drill result reported: 3.5 m of 46.41 g/t Au at Rosa. The release gives zone-level summaries mixing drill, channel and grab results without hole IDs or depths, so individual intercepts could not be verified or archived.
Mercado Minerals (MERC · CSE) — Zamora project. Best result: 0.60 m of 815 g/t Ag and 1.66 g/t Au — surface channel samples, not drilling.
North American Niobium (NIOB · CSE · C$4M) — Bardy project. Best composite: 2.05 m of 0.43% TREO (14.6 m of 0.12% TREO). NdPr not reported and GT below the TREO threshold.
No assays reported — Argenta Silver (AGAG), Val-d'Or Mining (VZZ), Rokmaster (RKR), Trailbreaker (TBK), BTU Metals (BTU), New Break (NBRK), Xali Gold (XGC), Pinnacle Silver and Gold (PINN) — programme, permitting or drilling-progress updates.
Coverage notes — Blue Star and Thunder Mountain full results tables were not available; intervals shown are those quoted in the release text and may be incomplete. Thunder Gold infill intervals already reported earlier this month are not repeated. Several market caps are approximate (TGOL, SXL, THM).
