The First Assay Friday Drill Digest TSX · TSX-V · CSE · NYSE-A · Nasdaq · October 23, 2026 | 2 companies 7 qualifying holes 2 jurisdictions |
Thin Friday window: only two new releases cleared the screen, and they are different animals. Adyton's Feni Island hole is a bulk-tonnage epithermal-porphyry system in Papua New Guinea (109 m grading 0.50 g/t AuEq, deep and low-grade but wide), while Viridian stepped out 1.5 km at Kraken in Labrador with a shallow Cu-Ni-Co intercept. Only the newest releases were screened, so this is not a full read of the week's tape; several others in the window were visual-only or sample results with no assays.

109 m at 0.50 g/t AuEq from 293 m is a bulk-tonnage result, not a high-grade one: GT of 54.5 g/t·m just clears the Great threshold, and 0.45× GT/MCap on a C$121M cap is respectable for a hole this wide. Copper contributes materially (0.18% Cu, with a 53 m section at 0.60 g/t AuEq and 0.23% Cu), consistent with Au-Cu porphyry overprinted by epithermal mineralization. It starts at 293 m, so any open-pit case rests on the shallower 70 m at 0.53 g/t AuEq from 170 m in the same hole. It extends the Kabang system, which carries a 2021 inferred resource of 60.4 Mt at 0.75 g/t Au. Ranks mid-pack on AuEq·m among Au results of the last 30 days. Papua New Guinea is a moderate-risk jurisdiction, and the AuEq uses company-set recoveries with no metallurgical testwork behind them. Watch whether the Cu-rich lower zone holds up in follow-up holes.

GT/MCap Spotlight — Top 5
Au and Cu metrics are on different price bases — not directly comparable across metals. The top ratio is Viridian's Cu-Ni-Co hole, on CuEq and a smaller cap; the best Au ratio is Adyton's.
